Sat Jul 5 2025	A Meet vs Seven Locks (Senior Celebration) Mohican Start: 9:00 AM Warm-up: 7:30 AM End: 11:30 AM Senior Send-off Meet! We'll be celebrating our graduating senior(s) during the meet halftime. Mark your swimmer as "available for" or "not available for" ASAP. Coaches will notify all swimmers about qualification and eligibility for the A Meet Roster. Volunteers: Please sign-up to volunteer if you have a swimmer competing in this meet. If you need to change your volunteer role, please do so BEFORE 8:30pm FRIDAY July 4th. Email [email protected] if you have any changes after this deadline. Thanks! Theme: Cowboys vs Aliens (Battle of the Wild West vs. Outer Space) Warm-ups: Arrive at Mohican for team photos at 7:30 AM. Our warm-ups will start at 7:40 AM. Parking: The Mohican parking lot will be reserved for SEVEN LOCKS team members ONLY. Food: Breakfast sandwiches plus additional light concession options including muffin, bagels, coffee, fruit for sale; Mohican team pays through their pool account. Celebratory Team Lunch: All team members are encouraged to join us for lunch, senior cakes and ribbon distribution immediately following the meet at the back pavilion (approximately 11:30am). We will be grilling burgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs. Lunch can be purchased on your pool account, $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Relay Carnival Swimmers: After the team lunch, all relay carnival swimmers should be available to practice their relay exchanges in a short practice session. Relay Carnival Swim Parents: If you are interested in swimming in the parent relay, bring your suit and get ready for a 25 m swim off immediately following the A meet. We will need two moms and two dads for the relay.
Wed Jul 2 2025	B Meet vs Seven Locks (Make Up TT) Mohican Start: 6:00 PM Warm-up: 5:00 PM End: 8:30 PM Please indicate your swimmer(s) interest in swimming in our B meet vs Little Falls. Note that B meets are not open to pre-team swimmers. Meet is open for entries. Entries are due on MONDAY 6/30 @ 7pm. If you are uncertain about events, please email [email protected] prior to selecting. Sign up guidelines: The maximum number of events any one swimmer can swim in a meet is three individual stroke events (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) plus the individual medley (IM) for a total of four events. Swimmers who earned points (placed 1st – 5th) at the A meet the week immediately before are NOT eligible to swim in that event in the next B meet. (A meet swimmers who did not place or did not swim in a given event in the A meet can swim that event.) 10 and under swimmers who are attempting the IM for the first time require coaches' approval before signing up for this event. Mohican Warm-up time: 5:00 pm Theme: Keep It Clean (10U dress like germs; 11+ dress up as cleaning supplies) Parking: The lot is reserved for our guests, Little Falls. Mohican parents/swimmers should park along MacArthur Blvd. Food: The dinner option is Silver & Sons BBQ food truck. Here is the menu and online ordering link -- Order Online. When placing your order, be sure to click the "pickup" button on the top right of the ordering page. Then select Wednesday 7/2 with your desired pickup time. Online and walk-up orders are welcome. They accept all major credit cards. Mohican's concession stand will also be open for snacks and beverages.

Sat Jun 28 2025	Team Building Pool Night - Ages 9 to 12 Mohican - Main Pavilion Start: 6:30 PM End: 9:30 PM We are excited to invite our 9-10 and 11-12 swimmers together at Mohican pool to enjoy a team building and bonding event. We know these age groups are fast IN the water, now we are going to see if they can be fast ON the water! This is a drop off event, chaperoned by parent volunteers and supported by our fabulous Mohican coaches. First, the kids will have some time to share a meal (pizza and popsicles!). Then comes the real fun...swimmers will work together as teams to build a card board boat that they will have the chance to race in the pool at the end of the evening. The competition will be fierce for bragging rights going to the victors, but first they will have to work together to build and name their boat, ensure it floats and choose their team to race it across the pool! Coaches will support the kids through the building and racing process. PARENTS - WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TOO to make this event possible. Please bring any cardboard boxes you have to the pool this week and stack them in the elevator room (neatly please and do not block the elevator door!). We also need LOTS of duct tape, markers, and other decorating supplies. Please RSVP on Swimtopia this week, collect your cardboard and send your 9-12 swimmers with supplies to support this team-building project!

Mohican Warm-Ups: We will meet at the Old Farm parking lot at 8:00 AM sharp. Warm ups are at 8:25 AM. Parking: There is a long driveway just after you turn off of Montrose that takes you up to the pool. They have an upper AND a lower grass lot you can use, and you can park along that long drive in the IN direction only to the pool along that long drive if you wish. Alternatively, we also suggest using the Faith Methodist Church right next to our pool along Montrose and you can use their lot. There is a short path/steps from their parking lot up to ours so it's safe and away from traffic. Regardless, you can enter the pool through the side gate in the upper lot. DINNER: The menu for the night includes Pull Pork, Baked Bean, Corn on the Cob, Cole Slaw, and Dessert. Meal prices are: Adults ($10), Children 11 & Up ($10), Children 10 & Under ($5), and Adult Beverages ($4). Payment is onsite through your Mohican account. Note that B meets are not open to pre-team swimmers. Entries are due on MONDAY June 23 @ 7pm. If you are uncertain about events, please email [email protected] prior to selecting. Sign up guidelines: The maximum number of events any one swimmer can swim in a meet is three individual stroke events (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) plus the individual medley (IM) for a total of four events. Swimmers who earned points (placed 1st – 5th) at the A meet the week immediately before are NOT eligible to swim in that event in the next B meet. (A meet swimmers who did not place or did not swim in a given event in the A meet can swim that event.) 10 and under swimmers who are attempting the IM for the first time require coaches' approval before signing up for this event. Merrimack has these additional requirements: 1.) only swimmers legal in all strokes; 2.) complete the race in 1:50 seconds or less WARM-UPS: Mohican - 5:20 pm PARKING: Large lot and ample street parking. Please be courteous to neighbors. Please do not park in front of the emergency fire gate. FOOD & DRINK: Mack’s Cafe offering delicious food off the grill! In addition, Mack’s offers snacks, drinks, and ice cream novelties. THEME: Shark Week/Jaws
Mon Jun 23 2025	Capture The Flag! The Biesinger's Home, 5825 Rockmere Drive, Bethesda MD 20816 Start: 6:30 PM End: 8:30 PM What: Capture the Flag event with pizza and drinks served. Hosted by the Mohican coaches. When: Monday, June 23, 6:30-8:30PM*. If we have bad weather, we will postpone. Where: 5825 Rockmere Drive. Please enter the backyard directly from the driveway on the side of the house (driveway is on Rockmere Dr.) Do NOT go to the front door. Logistics details: Swim Team members will meet at the Biesinger home for pizza and drinks prior to walking over to the Sangamore Local Park (behind Waldorf School) to play Capture the Flag. The field is reserved for Mohican. Who: Mohican Swim Team members. Parents, please consider the level of supervision your child requires to participate safely in this activity: no one-on-one supervision is possible and the game will be played with mixed ages. Generally, 7-8 and up. What to bring: Bring a water bottle for use during the game.

Feel free to just drop by to say hi or stay a while. Snacks and beverages will be served. Please bring your favorite adult beverage to enjoy and/or share! Also, there is a pool and hot tub, so feel free to bring your suits and towels if you are interested in a dip or a float!
