Hello Mohican Divers and Potential Divers!
We are gearing up for the 2025 Season and looking for anyone interested in joining the Dive Team. Mohican Diving is all about having fun and learning how to dive safely. The Dive Team is open to all Mohican members ages 6-18 who have passed the tadpole test, are comfortable in deep water and looking for a new challenge! Our Dive season will start with our first practice on Tuesday, May 27, and will run through the end of July.
Dive Expo! Stop by the dive well on Saturday, May 17, at 4 pm to learn about the dive team, meet our coaches, and say hello to our parent volunteers.
Tadpole Test
If your diver is new to the team, please make an arrangement with lifeguards at the office for a Tadpole Test. Due to safety reasons, your child MUST pass the Tadpole test in order to participate in the Dive Team.
Diver Liability Waiver
**ALL DIVE TEAM MEMBERS MUST submit a MCDL liability release form to practice and participate in meets. This is part of the registration process, but if you skip that during registration, you will need to fill out a physical form. We will have forms available before the first practice.
Dive Meets
Mohican will participate in five dive meets throughout the summer, along with two championship meets. Competing will be optional—but it's a lot of fun!
Parent Volunteers
All dive meets and team activities are coordinated and run by volunteers. Parent volunteers take on a variety of roles, including working the dive scoring table, meet announcing, and judging. Dive Meets will take place in flights by age group and only divers, coaches, and parent volunteers will be able to attend. MCDL holds annual clinics to train judges and referees. Information on clinic dates and times will be emailed when available.
Team Dive Suits
Sport Fair, our swimsuit vendor, will be at Mohican Pool Saturday May 17 from 1-3pm to fit and sell team suits to all team members. You can also buy them at Sport Fair in Arlington, VA.
