8U Swim Evaluation Registration

INSTRUCTIONS: Upon completion of team registration, sign-up for ONE, 20-minute slot. Click the "Job" sign-up button. IF YOU HAVE 2 SWIMMERS, PLEASE SIGN UP FOR TWO SLOTS. Your Sign-Up will appear as YOUR NAME, not your swimmer's name. THIS IS OK. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time slot to check-in. Every 8U is required to be evaluated prior to practicing with the team. Swim evaluations will assist coaches with providing individualized instruction at the start of the season and help ensure a safe in-water experience for all team members. Swimmers who are able to complete 25 Meters of Freestyle and Backstroke, fluidly across the pool without assistance will be placed on the regular team. Swimmers who can successfully make it across the pool on their stomach with a freestyle stroke will be placed on PRE TEAM. If you are uncertain if your child is ready for the team, please reach out to Head Coach, Kevin Wagman. |

Come meet the Coaches & Team Reps! Get outfitted in your official Mohican Team Suit. Swim Coaches and Reps will meet with parents from 11:30-12:30 and 4-4:30pm under the back deck pavilion. SportFair will be on deck to sell all team members the 2019 suit. If you cannot attend, team suits may be purchased in-person at SportFair https://www.sportfairusa.com in Arlington VA. Coaches & Parent Team Reps will hold a team information session for all parents at 4pm. Learn about all about meets, Mohican traditions, team activities, pep rallies and volunteer roles. |

Join us for the Annual Mohican Swim & Dive Banquet @ the Landy Lane Ballroom (off River Road) from 5-10pm (some volunteer roles begin earlier at 3pm). There will be dinner by Fish Taco, Awards and Honors, Team Slide Shows, Music and fun for the entire family! Adults $32; Kids $17. Pay online when you RSVP. After you complete the registration and payment, please return to sign-up for one of the volunteer roles and donations we need for this all-team event. Please also note there are MANY opportunities to volunteer before, during and after this event. Please sign your swimmer(s) up for events they are interested in swimming in this Wednesday's B meet. For 8U, please have your swimmer ask their coach if you are uncertain whether they are ready to swim a given event. Swimmer are limited to 3 events (of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) plus the Individual Medley (IM) for a total of 4 events. If your swimmer has never swam the IM, please consult a coach before registering for this event. Reminder that if your swimmer placed 1-3 in an event in the last A meet they are not eligible to swim in that event (but can swim in other events in which they didn't swim or didn't place) |
